Who we are

Noviscene is operated by a self-employed individual (the “operator”). For any privacy question, write to hello@noviscene.com.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to make and deliver your film:

• Account data: the identifier and email address from the sign-in method you choose (Google, email link or Telegram).
• Content you provide: your story text, photos of people and places, and the choices you make in the studio.
• Generated content: scripts, images, video clips and the finished film.
• Payments: coin purchases and spending. Card or wallet details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs needed for security and to fix errors.
• Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies — see the Cookie Policy.

Photos and likeness

Photos of people contain their likeness and may be personal data. By uploading a photo you confirm that you are the person shown or have that person’s permission (or the permission of a parent or guardian for a child), and that you have the right to use the photo.

We use photos only to make your film. We never show the photos you upload on their own. A finished film may contain the likeness of the people in it; it is shown in our public gallery or used in our advertising only if you choose that for this film (see “Gallery and advertising” below).

AI processing

Your story and photos are processed by AI models to write the script, draw frames and generate video. Some of these models run at third-party AI providers that process the data on our behalf and only for this purpose.

AI output is created automatically. No decision with legal or similarly significant effect on you is made solely by automated means.

Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, we rely on:

• Contract — to create your account, make films and process coin purchases.
• Consent — for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• Legal obligation — to keep payment records as tax and accounting law requires.

How long we keep data

• Finished films: 30 days after they are ready, then deleted automatically. You can delete a film earlier.
• Gallery copy of a film: only while the gallery choice is on and the film is approved; it does not expire after 30 days and is deleted when you withdraw the choice, delete the film from the server or close your account.
• Photos and other materials for a film: only as long as needed to make the film and provide the service.
• Account data: while your account exists, and deleted after you close it.
• Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Technical logs: only as long as needed for security and fixing errors.

Gallery and advertising

Both choices are optional, made separately for each finished film, and off by default: “Show in the Noviscene gallery” and “Allow use in Noviscene advertising”. To turn either on you must confirm that the people shown in the film agree to it being shown.

Gallery: after your choice a member of our team checks the film. Only approved films appear on the public gallery of our website, with the film, its first frame, its title (your own topic text or a title we write — please do not put names or contact details in it), its style, length and language. We do not show your name, email or other account details. We may reject a film; you will see the reason in the studio.

Advertising: we may use the film in our own promo videos and posts. We do not give films to third parties for their advertising.

Withdrawal: you can withdraw either choice at any time with one click in the studio, and deleting the film from the server or closing your account withdraws both. A withdrawn film disappears from the gallery within minutes (website and media caches last at most 5 minutes) and we stop using it in new materials. You can also write to hello@noviscene.com.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the service — hosting, AI generation, sign-in, payments and, with your consent, analytics — and with authorities when the law requires. Some providers are located outside your country; where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your data and your account;
• restrict or object to processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing;
• complain to your data protection authority.

Age

Noviscene is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children for accounts.
